That 10.1% hits like a fuzzy blanket, and the vanilla from the cognac barrels really lingers after each sip. Poured it over a big ice cube and the coffee and dark chocolate notes opened right up.
The nuttiness is what got me—that barrel-aged richness really carries through, and at 10.1% you can feel the warmth without it being harsh. Poured it after dinner and the vanilla and caramel kept it dangerously smooth.
That coffee and dark chocolate hit up front, then the vanilla and caramel from the cognac barrels smooths it all out. Drank it slowly by the fire and the 10.1% really warmed me up.
