Loved the combination of muscovado sugar and chipotle on chicken wings—the sweetness balances the heat well. Only wish the lemon peel came through a bit stronger, but it’s a solid rub that delivered a nice, smoky flavor.
The chipotle heat is nice, but the lemon peel gets a bit lost against the sugar. I used it on chicken thighs and it was decent, though I think it needs a heavier hand than most rubs.
The chipotle heat is present but pretty mild for my taste—the muscovado sugar sweetness comes through more. It works fine on pork, just not punchy enough.
