Duo Rum is an exquisite marriage of Caribbean and Scottish rum. White rum distilled on the golden beaches of Barbados is blended with smooth Scottish rum from the rugged east coast. Flavours of tropical fruit, like pineapple and guava layer on top of natural flavours of caramel, toffee and vanilla.
Pour Duo White Rum over cubed ice, top with cola and a squeeze of fresh lime.
I wasn't expecting a white rum to have this much depth, but the Caribbean-Scottish blend is a revelation. Poured it over ice with a lime wedge and the tropical notes really opened up. My go-to for mixing now.
The Scottish side gives it a smooth, mellow finish that lingers just long enough, while the Barbados brightness keeps every sip lively. Mixed it into a rum and coke and it disappeared way too fast. This blend is dangerously easy to drink.
The Barbados distillation comes through with those bright, tropical notes, but it's the Scottish rum that rounds everything out so nicely. Poured it over a single ice cube after dinner and the finish stayed smooth right to the last sip.
