Cracked one open after a long week and the tropical fruit hit from the hops is unreal, then that roasted malt and toffee sneaks in for a smooth, dry close. It’s deep black but drinks way lighter than it looks, which caught me off guard in the best way.
The dry finish really makes the difference—one sip and you get the tropical fruit hit, then it cleans up fast without any lingering heaviness. Crisp and juicy at the same time, which I didn't think was possible in a dark beer.
That roasted malt underneath the tropical fruit is such a nice contrast—it's like a juicy IPA that grew a dark side. Finished my six-pack way too fast, the dry finish kept me reaching for another.
