Lucky Break is an overnight success that's been years in the making. Citra, Mosaic and Talus co-star on a bill featuring big tropical notes, fresh grass and a scene-stealing citrus cameo. Hoppy, smooth and floral, this is a breakthrough hit that's destined for superstardom.
The tropical notes hit first, all pineapple and mango, but that citrus finish is what sealed it for me. Smooth enough to drink without thinking, hoppy enough to remind you it's an IPA. Three cans in and I'm already grabbing another four-pack.
That grassy freshness right after the citrus bite is what sold me — it's got a smoothness that makes the hoppiness feel almost creamy. Cracked one open after mowing the lawn and it was exactly the reward I needed.
The grassiness balances the citrus so well—it's smooth enough to crush a few, but hoppy enough to feel like a real IPA. The Talus gives it a little something extra I can't quite name.
