A brilliantly citrusy variation of BrewDog's LoneWolf Gin. The original recipe gin (which features punchy botanicals along the lines of Scots pine, lavender, fresh grapefruit peel, and more) is allowed to macerate with fresh Sicilian lemon peels for seven days, resulting in a full-on citrus flavour bonanza.
That cloudy citrus kick comes through exactly as promised without going syrupy sweet, which is rare for a flavored gin. It's bright and clean on the palate, with the grapefruit peel and lavender playing off each other nicely. I've already gone through half the bottle just mixing it with tonic on war
Poured it over ice with a wedge of lemon and the piney botanicals balanced the citrus perfectly, made a killer G&T without needing extra garnish. The grapefruit peel comes through on the finish in a way that feels fresh, not syrupy.
The citrus really comes through on the nose, and that grapefruit peel note carries into the finish exactly as the botanicals promise. Poured over ice with a twist of lemon, it's dangerously smooth and refreshing—perfect for a slow afternoon pour.
