Het is bijna St. Patrick’s Day. En dat is het perfecte excuus (alsof we er een nodig hadden) om te experimenteren met een van onze favoriete stijlen: stout. We hebben een heel speciale 9% dubbele versie van Black Heart gebrouwen. Noten van vers gebrande koffie, rijke pure chocolade en karamelzoetheid zijn de perfecte toast op Paddy in stijl.
Opened this for St. Patrick’s Day and the pour was nearly black, with a thick tan head that lingered. The 9% strength is there but not harsh—it drinks smoother than the ABV suggests, perfect for slow sipping on a cold evening.
Poured it at cellar temp with zero hesitation—that 9% kick warms you up slowly while the dark roasted depth stays smooth all the way down. Perfect excuse to skip the green beer this year.
Opened it expecting a standard stout and got hit with that deep 9% warmth right away. The double version really does hide its strength behind a smooth, dark body, so the bottle goes down faster than you’d think. Solid pick for the holiday, just wish it came in bigger bottles.
