That caramel and chocolate depth is dangerously smooth for 9% — I poured one after dinner and it drank like a dessert, then hit me right on schedule. The piney finish keeps it from being too sweet, which I appreciated.
The cherry undertones really come through as it warms, and that piney finish keeps the 9% from feeling heavy. Poured it after dinner and the chocolate-caramel depth made it a proper dessert beer.
